Hendersonville

Located in Sumner County, Hendersonville has a population of approximately 55,000 making it the largest city in the county. Hendersonville is noted for being home to countless musicians, especially that of the country music genre. Some of these well known artists include Johnny Cash, June Carter Cash, Kelly Clarkson and Taylor Swift.

Hendersonville had first become popular for being a trading center that focused on the production of tobacco and trade of livestock such as horses and cattle when it was first settled in 1790. It wasn’t until the mid 1900’s when the Hickory Dam had been constructed that the area began to develop and attract those seeking recreation. Today, Hendersonville has continued to flourish and has become the most populous suburb of Nashville in Sumner county.
